The Ministry of Culture (MoC) has introduced licence fees for content creators in a guide on its web site titled “License Request to Operate Advertising and Public Relations Activity” for private companies.
For content creators who need to apply for a licence to operate advertising and public relations activity, the guide indicates that they should follow the License Request service which “allows Individuals to submit an application online, on the online portal of the MoC, to obtain License to Operate Advertising and Public Relations Activity for Individuals with the aim of designing advertisements and promoting the marketing of specific goods or services, conducting advertising campaigns and managing public relations activities".
The MoC services fees are as follows:
  • Licence Issuance QR 25,000 QAR
  • Licence Renewal QR 10,000
  • Re-issue Request QR 25,000.
  • Edit Licence Data -No fees
  • Transfer ownership -No fees.
The targeted entities are either Qatari individuals, or personal agencies. Hence the application is available for individuals who are Qatari citizens. Submission is available for Personal agencies or through an authorised signatory. The age of the applicant must be over 21 years , the guide indicates.
