Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Tobacco Control Centre and Qatar Stars League (QSL) have announced the renewal of the sponsorship agreement for Qatar Stars League for the third consecutive year.
The agreement covers promotion of the centre's activities and organising events during both the Qatar Stars League and Qatar Cup tournaments. QSL's stadiums and official channels will also be utilised to broadcast awareness messages and information about how to quit smoking.
Under this agreement renewal, the Tobacco Control Centre will be able to continue to raise awareness within the community, especially among athletes, about the dangers of tobacco and its derivatives. It will also enable the centre to highlight its role and the services it provides to help tobacco users in the community quit all forms of tobacco use.
HMC’s Tobacco Control Centre’s team would like to express its gratitude to Qatar Stars League and its staff for their ongoing efforts and continuous support for the work of the centre. This support has enabled the centre to highlight its important role and range services within the community in Qatar.
HMC’s Tobacco Control Centre has been designated as a World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre for treating tobacco dependence for the past years. The Centre reminds everyone about the importance of quitting smoking, and those interested in accessing the centre's services can contact them on: 50800959 or 16060.
