Qatar skies Tuesday witnessed the full moon of the month of Muhram that appeared 14% larger and 30% more luminous due to its proximity to the earth (approximately 357,300km).
The moon was visible from 6.26pm on Tuesday and it can be viewed in its full size until the sunrise on Wednesday 5.01am, Dr Bashir Marzouk, an astronomer at the Qatar Calendar House said.
