A total of 24 illegal immigrants have been rescued off the coast of Izmir province, west of Turkiye, the Turkish authorities announced.
The Turkish Coast Guard Command said in a statement that rescue teams had been sent to rescue 24 immigrants after receiving information on illegal immigrants on board a rubber boat off the coast of the Dikili.
The migrants were handed over to the Provincial Immigration Directorate in Izmir province after necessary procedures.
