The Criminal Court has sentenced two expatriate men to one year in jail and subsequent deportation for stealing diesel from parked equipment at Umm Slal Area.
Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported that the two men were spotted by the private security personnel of the contracting company operating at the scene of the crime, while attempting to siphon diesel from the tank of parked equipment there.
Both men admitted at the court trying to fuel their vehicle with the diesel stolen from the equipment owned by the company.
They also admitted that the security personnel stopped them while trying to siphon the diesel.
