The Doha Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organised a seminar on “Global macro view 2023 and managing investments in the era of uncertainty.”

Mohit Ralhan, CEO, TIW Capital Group shared his experience in managing investments successfully in this turbulent period of rising complexities.
He explained how inflation in advanced economies is still way beyond comfort zone and how persistent inflation can lead to corporate margin contraction.
He also detailed stagflation, which is a low growth environment with high inflation.
Ralhan spoke about the shift in economic momentum showing trends of Asia and Africa to have at least two decades of high economic growth.
He touched upon the impact on portfolio returns over a long period of time if the mistake of making a few wrong investments every year is continued.
Later the chapter celebrated ‘CA Day’, this year being the 75th year of the foundation of ICAI as an institution.
ICAI Doha chapter members Aswathy Nandan and Kamlesh Tibrewal spoke.
