Turkish ambassador to Qatar Dr Mustafa Goksu has affirmed that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's to Qatar is an affirmation of the strategic and close partnership between the two brotherly countries.
The ambassador said in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that Qatari-Turkish relations have reached a stage of strategic partnership, and the president's visit comes to affirm this partnership and push it towards further progress.
He pointed out that the leaders of the two countries will discuss strategic bilateral relations and preparations for the ninth session of the Supreme Strategic Committee, investment opportunities and growing economic and trade relations, in addition to exchanging views on developments in the situation in the region and the world.
The ambassador said that the visit also aims to thank the Amir, government, and people of Qatar for the strong support in the ordeal of the earthquake that struck Turkiye last February.
He pointed out that despite the tremendous transformations in the nature of relations between countries regionally and globally and the escalation of crises and conflicts in international politics, Turkiye and Qatar have maintained close, stable, and growing relations at all levels.
He added that the bilateral strategic relationship is one of the pillars of balance in the region and constituted a real guarantee in facing many challenges and political, security, and economic risks.
He indicated that they believe that the close relationship and high co-ordination between the two countries were, and still are, a guarantee for taking a strong position in the face of regional and international challenges.
The ambassador said that the relationship between Qatar and Turkiye goes beyond being bilateral co-operation but rather a strategic choice for the present and the future and the Turkish leadership, headed by President Erdogan is keen to consolidate relations and consolidate partnership in a way that guarantees prosperity for the two countries.
