talabat recently organised a successful Road Safety Week in Qatar, showcasing talabat’s commitment to rider safety, and emphasising the importance of safe driving practices among its riders. The event served as a reminder of traffic rules and regulations that are essential for rider safety as well as the safety of other motorists on the road at all times - equipping riders with the necessary knowledge and tools to do so.
The event was attended by over 150 riders and featured informative sessions conducted by two esteemed doctors from the Hamad Medical Corporation who shared valuable insights into road safety and provided riders with practical tips to stay safe while out on deliveries. This emphasised the significance of road safety and its direct impact on rider well-being - instructing riders to stay hydrated throughout the day, wear their seatbelts, maintain the speed limit while driving, refrain from the usage of mobile phones while driving, respect road signals and abide by traffic regulations.
Francisco Miguel De Sousa, managing director of talabat in Qatar, shared his perspective on Road Safety Week: "Rider safety is a high priority for talabat as we want riders to be well-prepared and take extra caution while delivering orders - Road Safety Week is one such initiative of many that helps us keep them informed and educated throughout the year."
