Qatar's Al-Wakrah SC reached an agreement to sign Egyptian Ahly midfielder Hamdi Fathi. "Negotiations started between all parties the two clubs and the player through the past weeks until reaching an agreement over all the details" Al-Wakrah's Spokesman HE Sheikh Mohammad bin Fahed Al-Thani was quoted as saying by the club's official website.
HE Sheikh Mohammad said during the few past weeks negotiations were held among all parties where an agreement was reached concerning all details, adding that the deal is around the corner to be accomplished as parties agreed on all items of the contract, pending the official signing.
"The player will undergo medical scans after arriving in Doha within the coming hours and after the results we will announce the date of signing the contract and unveiling the player in a press conference," HE Sheikh Mohammad added.
He pointed out that the deal of signing Fathi would be the last in the list of Al-Wakrah SC's professional players and subsequently the file would be closed forever where the focus would be only on the preparations for the new season, concerning the participation in AFC Champions League or local championships.
