The Arab Chess Federation (ACF) extraordinary General Assembly named Qatar's Chess Grandmaster Mohamed alMudahka as a member of the steering committee that will run the ACF.
This was during the meeting held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in the presence of 18 Arab federations, which resulted in the withdrawal of confidence from the executive office of the Arab Chess Federation.
Al Mudahka said that the steering committee comprises, beside him, Kuwait's Adil Al Umairi, Saudi Rami AL Tassan, Egypt's Husham Al Gundi and UAE's Treem Matar.
He told QNA that the extraordinary general assembly has unanimously decided to mandate the steering committee and give it full authorisation to run the ACF, until the convening of the ordinary general assembly and electing a new executive committee. (QNA)
