Qatar Finance and Business Academy has opened registration for the second edition of its summer programme ‘Future Assets’, which will take place from August 13-17.
The programme is organised in partnership with Qatar Central Bank, as well as with the sponsorship of QNB, Masraf Al Rayan and Qatar Financial Centre, and the collaboration of the Qatar Stock Exchange.
“The programme is designed to spread financial culture and raise students' awareness of basic principles and concepts in the financial and banking sectors, resulting in the graduation of qualified and specialised cadres in the future, constituting a real and qualitative addition to the labour market in Qatar.
“Furthermore, the programme aims to achieve several goals, including broadening students' perceptions and providing them with the opportunity to learn about the nature of professions in all financial sectors in the country, whether banks or financial services companies, the stock exchange, and so on, and to assess the suitability of their skills and abilities with these professions, allowing them to plan optimally for their academic and professional paths in the future.”
Qatar Finance and Business Academy said the summer programme will include theoretical and interactive workshops, visits to some of the country's most prominent financial institutions, and a workshop on career planning, during which advice and guidance will be provided to students to help them choose the appropriate financial majors for them. In addition to qualifying them to write their resumes.
Participants in the programme will also get a certificate of participation certifying that they have completed 20 hours of volunteer work upon completion of the programme.
