HE the Minister of State for International Co-operation at the Ministry Lolwah bint Rashid AlKhater received a phone call from President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Mirjana Spoljaric.
During the call, they reviewed co-operation between Qatar and the ICRC, and discussed joint efforts to provide aid to the Sudanese people during the next stage.
In this context, the two sides stressed the importance of securing humanitarian corridors to deliver aid to the areas most affected by the fighting in Sudan.
During the call, HE AlKhater expressed Qatar's thanks to the ICRC for its great field efforts in Sudan, especially its embrace of infant and minor orphans who survived at the Mygoma orphanage, after the death of a number of the orphanage's children due to war, malnutrition and poor healthcare over the past period.
For her part, Mirjana expressed the committee's thanks to Qatar for its efforts in helping the Sudanese people.
