HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi has approved the results of the first round of secondary school certificate final exams for the academic year 2022-2023.
The success rate among the students of the science track was 90.53 percent for daytime education classes and 35.85 percent for adult education programs. In the literature track, the success rate was 79.79 percent among daytime education classes and 35.93 percent for adult education programs. In the technology track, this rate stood at 84.01 among daytime classes.
Students of Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys and the Religious Institute preparatory Secondary Independent School for Boys made a 100-percent success rate. The two branches of Qatar Technical Secondary Schools saw a success rate of 86.10 percent among daytime classes and 62.07 percent among adult education programs. This rate jumped to 100 percent among students of the two branches of Qatar Banking Studies and Business Administration Independent Secondary School, and stood at 60 percent among students of audio education schools.
In a press conference, Assistant Undersecretary for Evaluation Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) Khaled Al Harqan congratulated the successful and outstand students for this academic year, wishing them further future excellence in their academic and practical lives. He also congratulated the schools that showed high level of excellence.
Hailing the success rates as higher than in the previous year, Al Harqan revealed that 27 male and female students received a 100 percent score in the science track, including Qatari student Reem Ahmed Matar Dhabat Al Dosari from Al Kawthar Secondary School for Girls. He hailed Al Dosari's excellence as an unprecedented achievement over the past years.
In a related context, he said that one student in the literature track made a 100-percent score, stressing that these remarkable results indicate the strength and efficiency of Qatar's government schools.
Al Harqan added that 7912 male and female students in all tracks achieved a score of 70 percent or higher, which allows their university admissions inside and outside Qatar.
Successful students can get their certificates within two days on the MoEHE's Public Services Portal.
Director of Student Evaluation Department Khalifa Al Derham also spoke at the press conference about the mechanism of setting the tests.
MoEHE's Director of Public Relations and Communication Department Maryam Abdullah Al Mohannadi inaugurated the press conference, extending congratulations for successful and outstand students, wishing them a brilliant future in their academic and practical lives.
