The Qatar Calendar House (QCH) Saturday announced that, according to astronomical calculations, Monday, June 19, will the first day of the Dhul-Hijjah.
QCH tweeted that the crescent will be born on Sunday, June 18, at 7.38 am and it will set in the sky of Qatar 30 minutes after sunset.
However, the legal decision on the start of Dhul-Hijjah remains within the jurisdiction of the Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf).
