The General Directorate of Drug Enforcement has arrested four suspects for peddling and using narcotic substances, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said on Thursday.
The suspects - two men and two women of Arab nationality – have been referred to the Public Prosecution for the necessary legal procedures in this regard.
In a statement on social media, the MoI said a large quantity of drugs packed in rolls and wrappers was found after obtaining authorisation from the competent prosecution to search the residence of the suspects.
In total, 13kg of hashish and 350gm of shabu (methamphetamine) were recovered along with Qatari and foreign currencies, which are believed to be money earned from the drug dealings.
