Qatar participated in the first edition of the "Vision Golfe" forum, organised by the national agency supporting the international development of the French economy "Business France" on June 13 -14 at the headquarters of the French ministry of economics, finance and industrial and digital sovereignty, under the auspices of French President Emmanuel Macron.
Qatar's ambassador to France Sheikh Ali bin Jassim al-Thani headed Qatar's delegation participating in the forum, in the presence of HE Assistant Undersecretary of Digital Society Development at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Reem Mohamed al-Mansoori, HE the Chairman of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani, and a number of representatives of the relevant authorities in the country.
Qatar's delegation reviewed Qatari-French relations, which are characterised by strength and durability and based on mutual trust and common strategic economic interests.
The Qatari participation also shed light on the various initiatives by Qatar to attract French investors.
France is one of the major strategic partners of Qatar, whereas French companies contribute to achieving and implementing the Qatar National Vision 2030 and all its development projects.
The forum, which aims to strengthen co-operation between France and the GCC, reviewed a wide range of topics, especially strengthening trade partnerships and facilitating mutual exchange in this field, ensuring future synergy and stimulating innovation, with the participation of key decision-makers from the public sectors in GCC states.
During the forum, co-operation and investment opportunities in various fields were discussed, especially energy, green industry, renewable energy, biotechnology, and digital transformation.
