Palestinian Labour Minister Dr Nasri Abu Jaish has underlined that the Palestinian government supports Qatar in all labour legislation and measures it has approved, noting that Qatar's presidency of the 111th session of the International Labour Conference constitutes a success for all Arab countries.
In remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Palestinian minister revealed arrangements between the Palestinian and Qatari sides to supply the Qatari labour market with Palestinian workers and competent cadres in the future, including engineers, doctors and specialists in many fields, noting that the Qatari side welcomes continuous co-operation in this regard.
He called on Arab countries to address the challenges facing the Arab labour market, stressing the need to activate the principle of social justice that contributes to achieving a state of progress and moving towards successes.
Despite the high level of unemployment in some Arab countries, the Arab labour market is promising and can face challenges, the Palestinian minister noted; stressing the need to keep pace with the requirements of the labour market, and move towards training, vocational education programmes, and qualifying competent labour capable of working within the new systems.
