Qatar participated in the meeting of the Nato Nuclear Non-Proliferation Committee, which was held at the Nato headquarters in Brussels. Qatar was represented at the meeting by the ambassador to the European Union and Nato Abdulaziz bin Ahmed al-Malki.
The meeting discussed a number of issues related to nuclear non-proliferation and the prohibition of weapons of mass destruction, in addition to exchanging views on the Preparatory Committee for the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty for 2023.
On the sidelines of the meeting, HE al-Malki met with US Special Representative of the President for Nuclear Nonproliferation Adam Scheinman, and US Permanent Representative to the Conference on Disarmament Bruce Turner.
