Social Development Center (Nama), an affiliate of the Ministry of Social Development and Family's Qatar Foundation for Social Work organized a workshop under the theme of Logical Framework (Logframe) to evaluate the social programs the centre is offering.
In a statement, Nama outlined that the workshop was intended to streamline the process of designing and evaluating social programs and explain the logical framework tool to be approved within monitoring and measuring tools to be further circulated to departments in centres and utilized in identifying project elements more briefly and bluntly to help them track project cycle and optimize implementation, periodic evaluation, and impact measurement.
The statement added that the workshop intended to have a glimpse of one of the key tools as a prelude to evaluating societal programs at the Nama Center, as well as optimize the process of connecting programs inputs to be designed through the centre's strategies. The centre adopts the logical framework tool to optimize effective communication among its relevant departments, in addition to streamlining and evaluating the program's monitoring process. It also clarifies the periods to attest beneficiaries' data, in pursuit of attaining key measurement indicators.
Commenting on the workshop and its objectives, Nama's Acting Executive Director Ghanem Salah Ghanem al-Ali said the centre is intended for development and excellence in providing the best programs and services to the targeted segments to invest in young people's inherent energies and creative abilities, in addition to meeting their needs and ambitions to be partners in civilian work and investigating the best opportunities and innovation to become leaders of their communities renaissance in conformity with Qatar National Vision 2030.
The workshop was held in collaboration with the social impact measurement expert Alia al-Maadeed who elucidated that in recognition of the significance of developing the social work sector and incentivizing Nama's affiliates to study their program's impact on beneficiaries, the workshop was presented to optimize the design and evaluation process, hoping that the workshop will be dedicated to constant cooperation in supporting the development of social sector's affiliates in Qatar.
