The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) issued Thursday treasury bills worth QR500mn due on June 15, at a yield rate of 5.5050%.
The QCB previously issued QR5bn treasury bills in June distributed into five tranches with different terms and yield rates.
Treasury bills are a short-term debt instrument issued by the government for the purpose of borrowing and providing cash liquidity in short terms. They are considered one of the monetary policy instruments for domestic liquidity management, reports QNA.
