The Cultural Village Foundation — Katara opened Tuesday an exhibition for members of the Qatar Society for the Rehabilitation of Special Needs, in the presence of a number of Katara officials.
Held annually at the end of each academic year, the Golden Fingers exhibition includes artworks of male and female students registered in the centres of the Qatar Society for the Rehabilitation of Special Needs. The event will conclude Wednesday.
Talib Afifa, a member of the Board of Directors of the Society said the event, which is organised for the second time in Katara, presents the various artworks, which demonstrate the students' capabilities and skills as a result of the training they received in the centres affiliated to the Society.
Tariq al-Essawi, a consultant at the Society, said that the centres include people with intellectual, simple and moderate disabilities, cases of Down syndrome, autism and dual disabilities.
