The Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the State of Qatar Chyngyz Eshimbekov said that the visit of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the Kyrgyz Republic is very important from many perspectives, adding "It is the first ever visit of the Leader of the State of Qatar to our country and thus given highest consideration."
In remarks to QNA, Ambassador Eshimbekov said, "His Highness visit coincides with commemoration of 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the State of Qatar. Of course, relations between our peoples are deeply rooted in history since early ages, our ancestors actively traded and exchanged the cultural heritage with the Middle East and the Gulf. But, as modern states the Kyrgyz Republic and Qatar established diplomatic relations among themselves only on March 3, 1998, by signing the corresponding Protocol. From that time on, relations between the two countries reached a new level and were marked by active mutual contacts and bilateral events."
Eshimbekov, "Lately there were many opportunities for leaders of two countries to meet in person. The last and very memorial was the visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Doha at the time of the Final day of the Qatar 2022 Football World Cup at the invitation of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani."
"We highly regard success of Qatar in holding this grand sporting event at its best as well as many late notable achievements in economic development and diplomacy that enhanced prominent and important position of this country in the world affairs."
He said, "While in the Kyrgyz Republic this time it is anticipated that His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov will continue the earlier set personal dialogue on many topics of mutual interest including bilateral and regional cooperation."
He explained, "The state institutions have been working hard to create a favorable legal basis for mutual cooperation, in particular, 19 different agreements have been signed to this date. At present, the parties have prepared for signing a number of new agreements in the field of investment, finance, sports, healthcare, agriculture and justice."
"For the last several years the Kyrgyz Republic and the State of Qatar have been building a dynamic and forward-looking relationship. Diplomatic relations between the two countries have grown fast to embassy level representation in Bishkek and Doha respectively. Thanks to regular visits and official meetings Kyrgyz and Qatar have significantly advanced bilateral treaty framework. We highly regard the continuous support and attention of Qatari leadership, ministries and non-governmental organizations towards the development of brotherly relations with Kyrgyzstan."
Concluding his remarks to QNA, Eshimbekov said, "On our part, we are keen to contribute and promote cooperation that will focus on enhancing further all means of communication, promotion of peoples interaction, travel and tourism, trade and logistics, investments and infrastructure growth, humanitarian activities, sport and cultural exchanges. In the near future, in my opinion, the times of disruptive technologies and investments in human capital may open up new dimensions and strong areas of cooperation between our countries."
