Qatar hosts Gulf meeting on electric equipment standards

Qatar General Organisation for Standards and Metrology hosted Tuesday the 15th meeting of the Gulf technical committee for standards of electric power generation, transmission and distribution equipment, in co-operation with the GCC Standardisation Organisation.
The two-day meeting will discuss several important topics, including the committee's plan for 2023, which includes a number of standard specification projects related to generation, transmission and distribution equipment of electric power, which contributes to the standardisation in the electricity sector in GCC countries, and the significant role of using unified standard specifications in raising efficiency and adopting the electric power sector, by supplying equipment with unified standard specifications and providing better economies. The meeting will also discuss recommendations related to the committee contained in the minutes of the meetings of the General Committee for Standards, the technical council and the ministerial committee.
