Strong winds are dusty conditions are expected in the country from Wednesday, the Qatar Met department has said.
"Fresh to strong northwesterly winds are expected to affect the country, with gusts exceeding 30 knots inshore and offshore, from Wednesday until the beginning of next week," the department said in a statement on social media.
This will cause blowing dust at times and rising waves offshore, and the marine warning will continue during the above-mentioned period, according to the weather office.
In another post on social media, the department said Tuesday afternoon that the latest satellite image showed the formation of a medium-density dust mass in the north of the Arabian Peninsula, which may affect Qatar early Wednesday morning.
Wednesday's forecast says strong winds and poor visibility are expected in some places at times. Similar conditions are also likely in offshore areas along with high seas.
The wind speed may go up to 32 knots in some inshore areas at times and 30 knots offshore, with the sea level rising to 10ft.
The detailed forecast says a hot daytime is expected Wednesday along with slight to blowing dust in some places at times. Scattered clouds are also likely.
Dusty conditions and some clouds have been forecast in offshore, too.
The temperature is expected to range from 31-40C in Doha Wednesday.
