Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science will organise a training workshop on preparing reports and monitoring indicators of the sustainable development goals' fourth goal on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.
To be held from Monday in cooperation with the Unesco regional office in Doha, the workshop aims at building national capacities in the field of preparing reports and how to monitor the progress made in national and global commitments related to the quality of education by reviewing the indicators of the fourth goal of the sustainable development goals.
To be presented by an expert from Unesco, the two-day workshop also aims at providing technical advice for the monitoring process for the trainees, including providing technical inputs on how to monitor progress in achieving the sustainable development goals, in addition to discussing the challenges of data availability, quality and reliability, and reviewing standard indicators related to achieving results and financing education down to how to prepare national reports.
More than 35 experts and researchers in the field of education, policies, statistics and planning along with a number of concerned authorities in the country will participate in the training workshop.
