Alfardan Hospitality has once again proved its commitment to excellence in luxury and leadership by winning several prestigious awards at the Leadership in Hospitality Awards 2023 Qatar edition, which took place for the first time in Doha on May 24.
Among many of Alfardan Hospitality’s restaurants, Riyasat, Hakkasan, Roberto's, Ahwet Zeitouna and Antika were recognised for their "outstanding offerings, exceptional cuisines, luxurious ambiance and finally exquisite contributions to the hospitality industry in Qatar", a press statement noted.
Further, Guerlain Spa at The St Regis Doha was crowned for its world-class facilities and treatments.
The Leaders in Hospitality Awards is a prestigious event that is celebrated each year in Dubai, recognising hospitality excellence and paying tribute to those that make the region unique, bringing together industry leaders, innovators and influencers. Over the past years, the Leaders in Hospitality Awards has quickly established itself as a key date in the sector’s calendar.
Thrilled to be hosting the first event here in Doha, the awards ceremony was held at The St Regis Marsa Arabia Island, The Pearl-Qatar, and was attended by prominent hospitality industry leaders and key figures, in a gala dinner format.
Celebrating unique concepts and the best that the region has to offer in hospitality, Alfardan announced winning several People and Hospitality awards.
With more than two decades of experience in the hotel industry and a key player in many hotels throughout the Middle East, Wissam Suleiman, newly appointed as Alfardan Hospitality’s deputy chief operating officer and previously multi-property general manager for both The St Regis Doha and The St Regis Marsa Arabia Island, The Pearl-Qatar, got the lifetime achievement award for his "impassioned leadership role and successful accomplishments over the years".
On this occasion, Suleiman said: “We are proud to represent so many inspiring luxury independent concepts from around the world here in Doha, championing the best-in-class guest service. We are committed to providing our guests with exceptional dining experiences, and are honoured to be recognised for our efforts.”
Chef Sudqi Naddaf was revealed as star chef of the year by the Leaders in Hospitality awards. With over 15 years of experience, the multi-property executive chef brings with him many years of culinary excellence and leads the culinary team at The St Regis Doha and The Residences at St Regis Marsa Arabia Island.
Named the Champion for Middle East and Africa for 'Kempinski the Spa Cuisine' and a popular TV celebrity back home in Jordan – where he hosted and dispensed cooking tips on call-in cooking show ‘Baity’, chef Naddaf is a well-recognised authority in his field.
Named highly commended spa of the year, Guerlain Spa, located at The St Regis Doha, has continued over the years to transport guests to a level of ultimate luxury and refinement with its exceptional services, treatments and amenities.
And now for the outlets, and starting with those situated at The St Regis Doha, Alfardan Hospitality’s signature Indian restaurant Riyasat got awarded as the Best Indian Restaurant for the year and continues to deliver a strong commitment to offer hearty Indian favourites and enjoyable culinary experience in a glamourous and contemporary setup with timeless interior.

Antika Doha, situated in the palatial Marsa Malaz Kempinski Doha, won for the best restaurant interior.
Established in Beirut in 2016, the Antika brand is renowned for its extravagant celebrations paired with a unique traditional and oriental twist. Inspired by the hidden theatres of 1950s Lebanon, Antika Qatar has comfortable, yet classic plush interiors filled with antique items and age-old relics.
Moving on to The St Regis Marsa Arabia Island, The Pearl-Qatar, the top leading brunch concept in town category went to the Italian lifestyle fine-dining restaurant, Roberto’s, which officially opened its doors to the public on December 1 last year with an impressive legacy and a stellar reputation.
As the signature lifestyle venue, Roberto’s delivers a host of unforgettable culinary and entertainment experiences and sets new standards for delivering hospitality excellence and a stellar guest experience.
Finally, Ahwet Zeitouna, the Lebanese neighbourhood friendly cafe, won the best casual dining restaurant award. Born with the Lebanese DNA, Ahwet Zeitouna officially opened its doors back in November 2022 and quickly gained its reputation to become the place people can call home, taking guests back to Lebanon’s golden era and offering an array of delicious authentic Lebanese dishes.
