Anecx, the Qatar chapter of the Alumni Associations of NSS College of Engineering conducted an inter- school quiz competition & science exhibition at Birla Public School as part of the celebration of its silver jubilee year under the title Anvin-Silfesta '23.
More than 200 students from various Indian schools in Qatar participated in the quiz. The team of Ankush Ghosh, Mekka Mohamed Ali and Aryan Sujith of DPS-Modern Indian School won the first place; the team of Mohamed Bassam, Mohamed Fahad, and Mohamed Bilal of MES Indian School got the second place and the team of Parvathi, Sharanya and Mohamed Yasser of Shantiniketan Indian School got the third place. Thomas and Shajil Khader were the quiz masters.
An astronomy class was conducted by Ajith Everest, a proficient skywatcher, who covered topics such as astrophotography and the outer space. At the same venue, competitions on the project, still model and working model were also held by selected student groups of schools on various socially relevant topics. In the project competition, Birla Public School bagged the first position, Shantiniketan bagged the second position, while in still model, Shantiniketan bagged the first position and MES bagged the second position. In the working model competition, Ideal Indian School was first and Shantiniketan second.
