The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in coordination with the Ministry of Municipality, announced the start of registration for the national initiative to encourage local production and subsidize sheep meat prices for the blessed Eid Al-Adha, from June 1 to June 13.
The ministry said in a statement today that this step comes within the framework of its keenness to encourage and support livestock breeders and farm owners in order to increase local production of sheep, and protect the commercial and economic environment in the country, in anticipation of a change in the circumstances of supply meeting with demand and creating a balance between them in a way that contributes to stability of prices in the markets, and ensure citizens can obtain red meat at reasonable prices.
The Ministry called on those who wish to be breeders and owners of farms who have local sheep to apply for registration with the Livestock Department at the Ministry of Municipality at Mansour Tower (11th Floor), whether in person or through someone who has official power of attorney in accordance with the terms and conditions in force in this regard.
