The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) has opened on Wednesday the "Creativity Forum" at the headquarters of Rassem center for creativity Arts in Lusial.
Organized by Katara in collaboration with Rassem center for creativity Arts, the exhibition saw the attendance of several diplomats accredited to Qatar, along with artists and media professionals with the participation of Qatari and Kuwaiti artists.
In statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA), HE Director-General of the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti emphasized Katara's keenness to cooperate with various entities and centers to present a wide range of cultural and artistic events that would consolidate the relations among the artists and enable them to share expertise and introduce their artworks.
He lauded the artworks showcased by the Qatari and Kuwaiti artists, pointing out that Katara works to extend the bridge of communications between artists from around the world especially in the GCC states to enrich the cultural and artistic arena and demonstrate the evolution of the gulf creativity.
In similar statements to QNA, plastic artist and Director of the Rassem Center for Creativity Mona Al Sada said the exhibition is a product of a workshop associated with the first creativity forum, adding that works that were showcased include paintings brought by some participating artists, including other artworks that were accomplished during the workshop.
She indicated that this was the center's third participation in Katara after two previous exhibitions, lauding the Cultural Village Foundation for opening the doors to innovators from Qatar and abroad, describing Katara as the incubator of culture and arts.
