The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) concluded on Wednesday the third training programme on "Assessment and prevention of corruption risks in universities and academic institutions."
The programme aimed to enhance the ability of academic institutions to assess and prevent corruption risks and to strengthen the institutions' ability to enhance prevention systems and institutional administrative oversight.
The three-day programme targeted experts from academic institutions in Qatar who are concerned with internal control in university institutions, from Qatar University, Community College of Qatar, Qatar Aeronautical Academy, Lusail University, University of Doha for Science and Technology, Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College, Police Academy, and Joaan Bin Jassim Academy for Defence Studies.
The training programme included a methodology that combines theoretical and scientific aspects in an interactive way with programme participants, based on international anti-corruption standards and best international experiences.
