Guyana opened its embassy in Doha Tuesday. The President of Guyana, Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali, and HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi cut the ribbon to announce the opening of the embassy.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, HE al-Muraikhi congratulated Guyana on the opening of the embassy building, hoping that it would constitute a starting point towards progress and push forward relations between the two countries. Since their inception in 1996, the bilateral relations have been witnessing remarkable development in many fields, he noted.
He affirmed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' keenness on providing all possible facilities to further support and strengthen bilateral relations at all levels, especially in the economic, political and cultural fields in order to attain the aspirations of the leadership of the two friendly countries and peoples.
