Qatar Foundation’s (QF) second annual Qatari Educators' Gathering recently brought together 50 local teachers to network and share success stories and best practices, while helping to build a foundation for lifelong learning.
The QF event, organised by Pre-University Education’s (PUE) Education Development Institute (EDI), featured an informative panel discussion, as well as the opportunity for teachers within the QF ecosystem to network.
Speaking at the gathering, Abeer al-Khalifa, president of PUE, praised the teachers and educators, acknowledging their role in instilling the values, ideas, and principles that will shape the lives of their students.
Al-Khalifa highlighted the importance of lifelong learning during the event, encouraging teachers to invest in their own professional development to continue serving as effective role models and to take advantage of the opportunities provided by EDI.
According to Sara al-Hajri, ‏assistant director of culture, heritage & identity at EDI, the annual gathering for QF teachers enables participants to share experiences, discuss challenges, and find inspiration through relatable stories.
“This event serves as a valuable source of professional development for educators and our aim is to bring together schools to foster communication among teachers, with a specific focus on Qataris.
“Challenges are a common aspect of every educator's journey. Despite that, our teachers exhibit a passion for education, possess ambition, and eagerly embrace the changes happening around them.”
