Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has announced the new millionaire winner of its Misk account draw for 2023.
Ali Abdulla al-Attiyah was awarded QR1mn at the 6th edition of the draw, with two more millionaires to follow until November.
The lucky winner was selected randomly in a draw that took place in the presence of official representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry as well as QIB officials.
The QIB’s Misk account is a savings account that offers customers exceptional features and benefits and gives them the opportunity to win weekly, monthly, and grand prizes quarterly.
With four millionaires to be awarded throughout the year, this edition of the Misk Account Draw has seen the number of monthly prizes double from two to four, with each monthly winner receiving QR50,000.
In addition, the QIB is offering QR10,000 to 15 winners every week, bringing the total number of winners to 832 receiving QR14.2mn dedicated for this edition.
Running until November 16, the QIB’s Misk Account Draw has continued to offer customers the freedom to deposit and withdraw money from their account at their convenience while giving them the opportunity to win life-changing prizes.
Commenting on winning the grand prize, al-Attiyah said, “I am grateful to the QIB for the chance to become one of the lucky winners.”
“I was hoping it could happen, but I was totally surprised when I found out ... I feel honoured to be a QIB customer,” he said. “I think that opening a Misk account is an excellent way to save money and have the chance to win cash prizes.”

By simply downloading the QIB Mobile App, QIB customers can open a Misk account and receive a debit card.
Customers can also request a credit card against their Misk account balance, earn profits on their savings, and have the opportunity to win cash prizes frequently.
To be eligible for weekly cash prize draws, customers must maintain a minimum monthly balance of QR10,000.
For the grand prize draws, customers must have had the account open for at least three months and maintain a minimu balance of QR10,000 for each of those months.
Additionally, for every extra QAR 10,000 saved, the customer earns an extra chance in the prize draws.
