A high-level delegation of Qatar, headed by HE Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari, Minister of Finance, participated in the official opening ceremony of the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group, held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Several ministers of Economy, Planning and Finance of the bank's member states participated in the meetings. Representatives of global and regional financial institutions, as well as those of Islamic banks and national development financing, attended the events accompanying the meetings. On the sidelines, HE al-Kuwari held separate bilateral meetings with Oulimata Sarr, Minister of Economy, Planning, and Co-operation of Senegal; and Janjing Wang, chief executive officer of the Multilateral Co-operation Centre for Development Financing, during which issues pertaining to economic, commercial, and related disciplines were discussed.
