Qatar has participated in the 64th meeting of the GCC Commercial Co-operation Committee, the 50th meeting of the GCC Industrial Co-operation Committee and the meeting of the GCC Ministerial Committee for Standardisation Affairs, held in Oman.
The meetings were attended by the ministers of Commerce and Industry of the GCC (Gulf Co-operation Council) countries.
During the ministerial meeting of the commercial co-operation committee, the GCC entrepreneurs' platform was inaugurated. It aims at supporting entrepreneurs, particularly small and medium-sized businesses owners, in GCC countries by introducing them to investment opportunities in the region, allowing them to grow their businesses and market their products and services, and facilitating communication between entrepreneurs as well as between investors, financiers, and clients in the GCC countries.
In addition, the consultative meeting was conducted between the ministers of Commerce and Industry, and the heads of the Chambers of Commerce in the GCC countries.
At the consultative meeting, topics and recommendations addressed by the heads of the GCC Chambers of Commerce were reviewed, and suitable decisions were made.
