Ideal Indian School (IIS) will hold a Mathematics and Science Excellence Test (MASET) -2023, an Olympiad for students of classes 8, 9, and 10 from CBSE, IB, IGCSE, and ICSE school. This was announced by IIS president Dr Hassan Kunhi M P, principal Shaik Shamim Saheb and Olympiad co-ordinators Rafeek and Riyaz at a press conference.
MASET will be conducted for the students of grades 8, 9 and 10 with their respective class Science and Mathematics syllabus provided by IIS. The question paper consists of 50 multiple choice questions, 25 each from Science and Mathematics, all questions carry equal marks, and with negative marking for every wrong answer (1/4 will be deducted from marks scored for every incorrect answer).
The test is on June 3 from 10am to 11am at IIS. Any number of students can register from each participating school or individually by visiting the website www.idealschoolqatar.com.
Students can register by downloading the registration form and paying a fee of QR15. The filled-in forms shall reach the office of the IIS before 3pm on May 20. The fee can be paid at IIS counters. Group registrations will be accepted only at the participating schools where information about the MASET will be displayed.
Students and parents who wish to register individually may visit IIS Sunday to Thursday, between 7am to 3pm and on Saturday from 8am to 12.30pm with registration forms and fees.
The results will be announced on June 8 and award ceremony held on June 10. In each category, the awards are a first prize of QR3,000, gold medal, certificate of merit, second prize of QR2,000, silver medal and certificate of merit, and third prize of QR1,000, bronze medal and certificate of merit.
