The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau organised an orientation meeting for the first batch of government sector employees participating in the Knowledge Transfer program.
The meeting aims to develop the skills of public sector employees whose work experience is less than five years long, which contributes to the development of government performance by investing in its human capital.
In this context, HE Civil Service and Government Development Bureau President Abdulaziz bin Nasser Al Khalifa stressed the importance of this meeting and said that the program is founded on a strong partnership between the public and private sectors for the purpose of knowledge transfer in order to prepare a new employee body to contribute to the advancement of the public sector and improving its performance and services.
His Excellency added that the human being is a nation's most important building block and its greatest investment.
Employees from 18 government bodies take part in the Knowledge Transfer program, who will be trained by specialists and consultants from 13 international consulting companies for a period of six months. This will also help public employees to expand their professional network, and provide them with indispensable skills in research, data analysis, strategic planning, design concepts, project management and effective communication.
The Knowledge Transfer program consists of four stages designed to provide participants with a smooth and rich journey.
The first stage introduces them with the program's vision, learning outcomes, and tools. The second stage is a hands-on practical training. The third puts participants' acquired skills to test. The forth evaluates their training performance.
The selection process of the first batch trainees took place through the nomination of employees by their institutions to Civil Service and Government Development Bureau.
