Indian expatriate organisation Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ)celebrated its annual event 'Vasantotsava – 2023. The highlight was the Janapada Rock concert by singer, composer and actor Naveen Sajju who performed famous folklore and Kannada movie songs.
Indian embassy first secretary Xavier Dhanraj was the chief guest. Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) president Manikantan A P and Kannada language expert Prof Krishne Gowda were the guests of honour. ICC vice president Subramanya Hebbagelu, Indian Sports Centre president E P Abdualrahman and other officials were present.
In recognition to their service to Kannada community and language, KSQ conferred “Kannada Kavya Kala Kanaka Kalasha” on Prof Gowda and “Janapada Kogile” on Sajju.
