The ceremony will include graduates of the following semesters: Summer 2022, Fall 2022 and Winter 2023, in addition to those who are expected to graduate by the end of Spring 2023, the statement notes.
During a press conference held at the new QU Student Affairs building, Dr Eiman Mustafawi, vice-president for Student Affairs, said in a statement: “The graduation of 3,907 students this year reflects Qatar University's commitment to promoting higher education. We believe that each graduate has a unique success story that represents the challenges they have gone through and the achievements they have made during their academic career, to become the backbone of this country and contribute to its construction, development and prosperity.”
Dr Mustafawi congratulated all the graduates of the 46th batch and noted that the organising
committee of the graduation ceremony completed all the essential arrangements and preparations. The graduates were contacted, and invitations sent to graduates and their families via e-mail. The various teams and committees organising the ceremony confirmed their full readiness and eagerness to providing services for graduates and responding to their enquiries through various means, including university accounts on social media platforms, the Student Call Centre and e-mail. In addition, a dedicated website is available as a reference, which includes all the information related to the details of the ceremony, dates and various information.
Dr Mustafawi added that the university is looking forward to a unique edition of the graduation ceremony this year and providing an enjoyable and memorable experience for all.

* Distribution of graduation gowns
The university has announced the distribution of graduation gowns to all female graduates, and the
opportunity to purchase and pay for the gown electronically. The gown was distributed to the graduates on campus, with approximately 2,865 students receiving this year’s graduation uniform. The Graduation Ceremony organising committee worked diligently to provide a smooth and convenient experience for the distribution of the gown by organizing a schedule that considers the appropriate times for all graduates.
The unique design of the new graduation uniform for female graduates is inspired by Qatar University’s logo, which symbolises the intertwining of Islamic/Arabic heritage with the educational system, where the embroidered geometric shapes on the graduation cloak symbolise the authentic Islamic/Arabic heritage, which forms part of QU’s logo and represents a symbol of pride, while the maroon colour symbolises Qatar’s flag, which corresponds to the history of the country and its civilisational dimension.

* Rehearsals
Conducting the graduation rehearsal is an essential part of ensuring that the ceremony runs smoothly according to the schedule. This allows students to understand the protocol and procedures and for the ceremony to proceed according to the program and within the planned time frame.
During the rehearsal, graduates are provided with the most important instructions, such as registration, graduation gown protocol, as well as information related to the presence of parents and companions, and other important information. The graduates also learn about the details of the ceremony programme, the method of sitting in the approved order, and the mechanism of ascending to the podium according to their colleges and degrees.

* Graduation website
The website is one of the most important sources through which accurate and comprehensive
information about the graduation ceremony is provided, which is very important for both students and parents. The site includes information such as dates, location, graduation gowns, invitation cards, services provided to the public during the ceremony, entrance gates, parking lots and others. The organising committee regularly updates the website (http://www.qu.edu.qa/conference/graduation-2023) to include all the necessary details and is a key source of communication between the university, students and parents.
