The popular destinations include the Doha Corniche, Souq Waqif, Al Wakrah Old Souq, Katara – the Cultural Village, Lusail Boulevard, Msheireb Downtown Doha, Old Doha Port, Aspire Park, Al Bidda Park, the Museum of Islamic Art Park, neighbourhood parks, various beaches around Qatar, Purple Island, as well as entertainment facilities such as Mega Park Carnival, Lusail Winter Wonderland and others.

While a large number of families opt for public parks around their neighbourhoods, others prefer the beaches outside Doha for gatherings with family and friends.

The Doha Corniche has been receiving a large number of visitors, many of whom come in big groups.

Some choose to go for short dhow cruises, whose operators may also give special offers to groups to attract customers in this busy season.

Many shopping malls in the country are hosting special activities and festivals during the Eid holiday, while also coming up with special offers and discounted prices on many items.

Children's play areas in both outdoor and indoor locations have been among the most-visited destinations during the first two days of the holiday period.

Meanwhile, a good number of families are spending the morning and early afternoon with family and friends, exchanging Eid greetings and gifts at home before heading to one of the many popular destinations in the evening.

The Eid holiday has also led to a spike in money transfers, it is learnt, as expatriates send money to their families back home to buy gifts for Eid.
