Katara Eid activities bring joy to all

For the second consecutive day, Katara - the Cultural Village continued to attract big crowds with its varied offering of activities and events during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

The distribution of Eidya (Eid gifts) among children, one of the biggest attractions, will conclude today along with the play, 'World 2030', musical shows and Eid quiz.

The police band's presentations will continue until the fourth day of Eid.

Salem Mabkhot al-Marri, director of the Communications and Public Relations Department at Katara, said visitors are used to seeing a wide range of beautiful - and novel - offerings at the Cultural Village. Katara is keen to address the needs and preferences of all categories of people and offer them different types of activities that will earn their praise.

He stressed that different sections of Katara, including the Corniche, Wisdom Square and the beach, are a big attraction for families of different nationalities and backgrounds, especially during the Eid holiday. The Katara management works hard to make all visitors happy and enable them to enjoy some quality entertainment amid an atmosphere of joy and festivity, he added.

Abdulla al-Otman, a visitor from Saudi Arabia who had come with his family, stressed that Katara is a beautiful place and all his family members are happy to be there during the Eid holiday.

Hussam from Turkey said this is the first time he is visiting Qatar and he decided to spend the Eid holiday at Katara, which he says is an amazing destination.

Visitors from different places around the world, as well as residents of Qatar, stressed that all the activities at Katara during Eid have appealed to them and their children, in particular the fireworks and Katara Eidya, among others.

The police band, which includes 85 skilled musicians, rendered some patriotic and heritage pieces at the Katara Corniche from 6.15pm to 6.35pm and from 7pm to 7.20pm.

The best Eid dress/costume competition for children until the age of 15 years will continue until the third day of Eid. To participate, a high-quality photo of the participant wearing Eid clothes should be sent to the number, 33160949. Accordingly, 10 winners will be selected.
