The Arabic, Urdu and Islamic Studies Department of MES Indian School conducted various events as a part of the celebrations of the holy month of Ramadan.
The quiz competition on Islam and its values was conducted for the students in junior and senior categories.
In the junior category, Ammar Mujeeb, Waseem Abdul Lateef and Mohammed Sajjad bagged the first position, Khadeeja Nahda, Afizah, Aaesha Fathima bagged the second position, while two team members: Fathima Zama, Fathma Abdul Gafoor, Aathuka Mohammad, Musk Mohd Faiz, Mohd Fawas and Ayan Sadique bagged the third position.
In the senior category Mohammad Patel, Abdul Hadi and Nufais bagged the first position, Rifa Fathima, Adeeba Syeda, and Nadia Fazal, bagged the second position and the two teams Rushda Fathima, Nafisa, Fouza, Mohd Isa, Abdul Rahman Iqrar, Ahmed Faisal bagged the third position, respectively.
Principal Dr Hameeda Kader congratulated the participants and distributed certificates to the winners.
Usman Maiyeri, head of the Department of Arabic, Urdu and Islamic Studies along with a team of co-ordinators and teachers including Jahfar Niyas Para, Resha Amzad Khan, Rassia Hamza, Sumitha Nassar, Sumayyabi M S, Jasna Jumana and Hajeera co-ordinated the event.
