Coach of Qatar national football team Carlos Queiroz expressed his great happiness at having a new experience with the Qatari team, the winner of the 2019 Asian Nations Cup, hoping to lead the team to more successes in upcoming competitions.
Speaking on the sidelines of his participation in the draw ceremony for the 17th edition of the Gold Cup, the 70-year-old coach added he was very proud of this new journey in his coaching career with the Qatari national team, while hoping to employ his many years of experience in football to take the Qatar national team to the ranks of the major teams in all international competitions.
Praising Qatar's success in organizing the last World Cup, which he described as the best edition in the history, Queiroz said that the draw placed Qatari team in Group B along with big teams such as the Mexican team.
He said that the upcoming edition of Gold Cup in the USA will be amazing and will be the most watched event by fans due to the existence of big teams.
Asian champions Qatar were placed in Group B of the Concacaf Gold Cup along with Mexico, Haiti and Honduras. The tournament will take place in United States and Canada from June 24 and July 16.
