The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the decision by Qatar and Bahrain on resuming diplomatic relations, following the second meeting of the Qatari-Bahraini Follow-up Committee that was held in Riyadh.
Secretary-general of the OIC, Hissein Brahim Taha, said the decision reflected the GCC's commitment to mending rifts, which will help enhance co-operation and integration between the region's countries, and realise its peoples' aspirations and enhance joint Islamic work.
