The primary school tests of the “Little Muhaddith” programme came to an end on Thursday.
According to an official press statement from the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf), the week-long tests were taken by thousands of participants, with the total registrations reaching 6,705.
The next level of tests will be held on April 16 for boys and April 17 for girls.
Awqaf noted that the latest edition is evoking a good response from students and parents.
Dr Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed al-Thani, director-general of the General Department of Endowments at Awqaf, appreciated the keenness of parents and students to take part in the competition.
He urged them to take advantage of the opportunity of the competition to learn the Hadiths and get acquainted with the rulings, morals and etiquette of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
Dr Sheikh Khalid also wished success to all participants.
The “Little Muhaddith” competition is organised by the General Department of Endowments under the supervision of Awqaf and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education as part of the endowment bank’s projects to serve the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah.
