ExxonMobil Qatar’s Tamayoz Learning and Development programme continues to offer a "dynamic agenda of courses and seminars" to its industry partners in 2023, following a highly productive 2022.
Tamayoz is a key company initiative for sharing industry knowledge with peer professionals in Qatar.
The programme has delivered some 319 courses in Qatar, training over 6,750 participants since it was established in 2012 as an offshoot of ExxonMobil Qatar’s commitment to help its partners in the energy sector equip and inspire its next generation of leaders.
In 2022, 714 professionals from QatarEnergy, Qatargas, and Nakilat attended the 38 training courses offered. From advance gas processing to drilling well control, carbonate geology basic, fundamentals of cost and schedule engineering, materials and corrosion engineering and others, the courses teach industry management and operational methods.
“Tamayoz demonstrates our commitment at ExxonMobil Qatar to help build a competitive and sustainable economy for Qatar’s future through knowledge transfer,” said Dominic Genetti, president and general manager, ExxonMobil Qatar.
“The programme’s instructors are seasoned industry experts who are driven by one goal – to improve performance and the ability to help professionals address the most complex challenges they may face in their careers. We are proud that over the years, Tamayoz has helped develop thousands of competent professionals in all technical processes, spanning our industry’s entire value chain - we look forward to continuous success in the future,” he added.
Advance gas processing and advance climate solutions were the top fundamental courses delivered during 2022 and remain as such in the first quarter of 2023.
Tamayoz courses are delivered with a mix of virtual and face to face interactions, which are held at ExxonMobil Research Qatar located in the Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP).
They cover a diverse range of disciplines, including: leadership and personal effectiveness; technical; project management; health; safety, and environment; commercial; and operations excellence.
The programme was “inspired by ExxonMobil’s ongoing commitment” to support the development of Qatar’s national workforce, as outlined in the Qatar National Vision 2030 and to contribute to its sustainable future.
