Green Tent's 'A Flower Each Spring' Program concluded with a poetry night with local, regional, and international participation.
The poets participating in the event called for the institutions and cultural centers to adopt a number of poems to compose, produce and assign to young voices to bring these poems to light.
The poets expressed their gratitude for the Green Tent and those in charge of it for its efforts in supporting culture and literature as an important window for communication with all segments of society in various Arab countries. They also recited a number of poems praising the people of Qatar, Islam, and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Poems in ghazal, resistance, enthusiasm, and other types of poetry were also recited.
Head of A Flower Each Spring program Dr Saif bin Ali Al Hajri explained that the environment intersects with all lifestyles, so the green tent was an important tributary in enriching the cultural environment with many activities that make young people capable of dealing with sustainability and its issues.
Dr. Al Hajri praised all the participants in the tent's previous seminars, pointing to the role of the Lusail Circuit Sports Club in hosting this edition and its contributions to protecting young people, directing their energies, and legalizing their hobbies in a way that preserves their lives and develops their talents.
For his part, the coordinator of the Green Tent activities Mohammed Hashim Al Sharif stressed the keenness of the program to attract the best experts, specialists, academics, and scholars from inside and outside Qatar, pointing out that the topics of the tent this year were chosen very carefully and experts from different countries were invited to share their knowledge in person or via visual communication technology.
Al Sharif stressed the keenness of the Green Tent to include in its season every year a poetry night or to invite poets and writers of different gender and ages to participate with their creativity and enrich the intellectual scene, noting that the Green Tent will remain rich in its guests and activities.
