HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani held an official talks session with Jordanian Prime Minister Dr Bishr Hany al-Khasawneh at Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah Palace.
HE Sheikh Mohamed and the Jordanian prime minister held a bilateral meeting after an Iftar banquet was held in honour of the visiting dignitary and the delegation accompanying him. The talks discussed co-operation between the two countries and the means to enhance them, particularly in economy and investment, in addition to the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian lands. The two sides expressed their condemnation of the repeated Israeli aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque, and expressed their alarm that these provocations could lead to increased violence in the region.
They stressed the importance of not tampering with the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque. They also stressed the important role of the Jordanian custodianship over Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
