The Federal Aviation Administration announced that it has listed the rocket's orbital test flight for Monday, April 17, pointing out that SpaceX can only proceed if a launch license is approved by then.
SpaceX said that the vehicle team is preparing a launch rehearsal for next week, after which the first flight test will be conducted on an orbital flight of the vehicle.
SpaceX is supposed to adopt this type of rocket vehicle on long-range spaceflights, such as flights to Mars and the Moon.
SpaceX announced the Starship project for the first time during the Adelaide Space Conference in Australia in 2017 and revealed the vehicle's initial design in 2018.
