Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) signed a strategic partnership agreement with Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services to raise awareness about cancer, support and empower patients, and advance scientific research opportunities in the field of cancer.
On this occasion, HE Chairman of QCS Sheikh Dr. Khaled bin Jabor Al-Thani valued the efforts of Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services in the health sector and its active role in supporting the awareness efforts led by the society through the signing of this agreement, hoping that it will be the building block for future partnerships that benefit all members of society, especially those living with cancer.
The agreement stems from the role played by the two parties in community service and effective partnership, which contributes to achieving goals that are in the interest of all, especially since addressing cancer requires concerted and continuity of efforts, HE explained.
The agreement between the two parties provides an opportunity to build close partnerships within the framework of joint action to spread awareness and contribute to the provision of health and humanitarian services for cancer patients to achieve the society's vision of being a community partnership platform, making Qatar a leader in the field of cancer prevention and mitigation, HE said.
For his part, Director of EMEA Business Development - Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services, Talal Braidy, expressed his happiness at signing the partnership agreement with QCS, which reflects Houston Methodist's commitment to supporting the efforts of its partners in the State of Qatar and the region to provide the best healthcare services.
He also expressed his aspiration to work with QCS to support its pioneering work and efforts to prevent cancer and reduce its burden, empower cancer patients, and expand potential areas for scientific research cooperation.
